Meghalaya & Kaziranga: Abode of Clouds & Wildlife

Arrive at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station. Meet our representative and drive to Kaziranga National Park, world-famous sanctuary of the One-Horned Rhinoceros. On arrival, check in at your jungle resort. Evening visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park to experience traditional Assamese dance and cultural performances. Dinner and overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Early morning embark on a thrilling Jeep Safari in Kaziranga National Park (Central / Western range) to spot one-horned rhinos, wild water buffaloes, swamp deer, and rich birdlife. Return to resort for breakfast, check out, and drive to Shillong. En route, stop at the mesmerizing Umiam Lake (Barapani) for photos and water sports. Arrive in Shillong, check in at hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.

After breakfast, drive towards Cherrapunjee (Sohra), renowned as one of the wettest places on earth with pristine clouds and gorges. Visit Elephant Falls and Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint. In Cherrapunjee, explore Nohkalikai Falls (India's tallest plunge waterfall), Mawsmai Limestone Cave, and Seven Sisters Falls. Check in at hotel/resort in Cherrapunjee. Dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, drive to Tyrna village and start the legendary trek to the Double-Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village, an indigenous bio-engineering marvel crafted by the Khasi tribe over centuries using living rubber fig tree roots. Take a refreshing dip in the natural blue lagoons under the bridges. Trek back up to Tyrna and return to your resort. Dinner and overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Morning drive to Dawki on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Experience a boat ride on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River where boats appear to float on glass. Visit the Tamabil border checkpoint. Continue to Mawlynnong Village, acclaimed as Asia's Cleanest Village. Visit the single living root bridge in Riwai and the Sky Walk bamboo viewpoint. Evening drive back to Shillong. Dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.

After breakfast, visit Shillong Peak, Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Cultures, and Ward's Lake. In the afternoon, drive back to Guwahati. Check in at hotel in Guwahati. In the evening, enjoy a scenic sunset Brahmaputra River Cruise (optional at own cost). Dinner and overnight stay in Guwahati.

Morning visit the holy Kamakhya Devi Temple atop Nilachal Hill. After offering prayers, transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your flight back home.
