About This Trip
Explore the magnificent Kumaon Himalayas covering Nainital, Ranikhet, Almora, and Kausani. Ranikhet reflects the very best of the heavenly Himalayas with lush green forests, majestic mountain peaks, exotic plant life, and attractive wildlife. According to popular belief, this spot won the heart of Rani Padmini, queen of Raja Sudhardev, who chose it as her abode, giving it the name Ranikhet ('Queen's Field') at an altitude of 1829 meters. Kausani, standing 1890 meters above sea level, is nature's own reserve where Mahatma Gandhi spent 12 days in 1929 and penned his commentary on Gita-Anashakti Yoga, inspired by the 300 km uninterrupted panoramic view of the snow-crowned Himalayan range. Hindi poet laureate Sumitranandan Pant was born here.

On arrival in the Delhi airport / railway station, proceed directly for Nainital by road. On arrival, check in to the hotel. After refreshing yourself at the hotel in Nainital, proceed for sightseeing tour, beginning with boating on the famous Nainital Lake - Naini Lake (at your own cost) and visit to the holy Naina Devi Temple. After that, visit famous tourist spots like Tiffin Top, Naina Peak, Cave Garden, Bara Pathar, Lover's Point, Lands End, Naina Peak etc. (sightseeing will be covered as per time permitting). In the evening, enjoy shopping at the Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast drive for lake tour of Nainital. Nainital is the main tourist attraction. Here Naini Lake is famous for boating (Half an hour ride). Bhimtal is about 25 kilometers from Nainital; it is the largest lake among Nainital Lake Tour. Sattal (seven lakes) is about 25 kilometers from Nainital, as name suggests is a group of seven lakes interconnected. Naukuchiatal is about 30 kilometers from Nainital; it is a 9-cornered lake. Drive back to Hotel, Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Morning drive to Ranikhet. On arrival in Ranikhet check in at the hotel. Later visit local sightseeing i.e. Haidakhan Babaji Temple (4 kms.), Chaubatia Gardens (10 kms.), Bhalu Dam (3 kms.), Jhula Devi Temple (7 kms.), Mankameshwar Temple, Kalika Temple (5 kms.), Tarikhet Village (8 kms.), Majhkhali (13 kms.) etc. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Morning drive to yet another beautiful hill station of Almora. Arrive and transfer to hotel and rest of the day is at leisure to explore the unspoiled flora & fauna of this beautiful hill station. Night stay in Almora.
After breakfast depart to Kausani. Afternoon will visit Baijnath temple. Here you will see many ancient idols and will also come across mahashir fish in the river waters. At the end of your visit, take your time to look at the setting sun and finally the sunset. Also visit Anashakti Ashram where Mahatma Gandhi stayed for few days. It will be a memorable evening. Have dinner and rest for the night at Kausani.
After Breakfast, this morning, wake up to the wide expanse of the famous Katyur Valley to experience the Kausani sunrise. Visit the 12th century Baijnath Temple (if missed on arrival day) and Kausani tea plantation. Also visit Anashakti Ashram where Mahatma Gandhi stayed for few days. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Morning drive to Delhi (410 kms / 11 hrs.). Arrive Delhi in time to board Flight / Train for onward journey.
